Rikei Co., Ltd. has received the "Technology Award" for the fiscal year 2021 from the China Branch of the Japan Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. The Rikei VR team, in collaboration with the Hiroshima University Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Research Center and the Higashihiroshima City Fire Department, has been working on a project to recreate the disaster situation from the heavy rain disaster that occurred in July 2018 using VR technology.
